We are certainly in interesting times. After a rampant property market and the inevitable correction, we have definitely been in a recovery phase and experiencing great buying opportunity. Yet never a dull moment, along comes the most keenly competed Federal Election in years. Most business sectors go into a holding pattern around this time and property is no different. Watch for a market spurt in the final 8—10 weeks of the year. We try not to politicize our comments and only hope for our property clients that the elected party has sound economic fundamentals with focus on stabilizing interest rates, the rate of inflation, employment levels, consumer confidence and Gross Domestic Product. May the better team win. The inner west is now gearing itself for the fabulous Spring Racing Carnival. Flemington will again be in the spotlight and referred to as Headquarters. We wish you well in your property dealings. Jason Marston
