Changes to the Victorian Duties Act now mean properties bought under company share titles will now attract Stamp Duty at the rates of normal property transfers. - VCAT now online. A welcome advance in technology. - Department of Consumer Affairs Estate Agents Resolution Services has quoted a drop in written complaints to 871 for the past year, against 916 for the previous. With a total of around 450,000 rental and sale transactions, this is a defective rate of less than 0.002%. Also dropping was the amount of written complaints resulting from phone inquiries made, down from 10.8% to 8.3%. The industry is continuing to display improved professionalism.
